Prayer Life

Prayer is the Benedictine way, beginning with the Liturgy of the Hours which all of the members pray either in private or in common.  If you would like to pray with us, please click on the link below for the Universalis website.  It will provide all of the prayers for the current day.

Universalis

We follow the guideline of "in all things pray."  There are several methods of meditation that are incoporated in our prayer life that include sitting in silence to allow the "Spirit to Pray Us".  We also recommend Centering Prayer as a method of communing with God.

Regardless of the method, whether it be work, meditation, lectio divina or prayer in common, prayer is central to spiritual growth.  St. Benedict was adamant in his Rule about the time and methods of prayer.  While that may seem demanding on the surface, it becomes part of who we are as followers.
